When you pursue a healthcare education as a medical assistant, you will learn to provide face-to-face care underneath the supervision of physicians, registered nurses, and other specialists. In Ultimate Medical Academy’s (UMA) Health Sciences – Clinical Medical Assistant (HSCMA) associate degree program, you can earn an associate degree in 18 months.¹

Classes at UMA help prepare you to take the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. If you meet eligibility requirements and pass the exam, you’ll be awarded your certification which can help you stand out as an applicant. This certification is pursued after the career education you receive at UMA and is not required to graduate.

UMA graduates in this program may find entry-level medical assistant positions in the following environments:

Hospitals
Outpatient care centers
